Savannah Norris\, local stylist\, artist\, and jane of all trades\, will help you craft a hanging planter perfect for your growing green babies and your personal style! Bring yourself and your plant (in a small – medium pot or jar) and a sturdy stick (optional) if you’d like to make it a contemporary wall hanging – all other supplies will be provided. Discounted tickets worth 2 entries are available! – Perfect to bring MOM along with you on this Saturday before Mother’s Day! \nFAQs \nAre there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? \nThis workshop is open to ages 15 and up. \nWhat are my transport/parking options getting to the event? \nFree parking is available on weekdays only after 5:30pm and all day on weekends in the lot behind the Trailside Building. Overnight parking is never available. There are also 25 free street spaces along the street behind the Trailside building. Whether you’ve been wanting to send a note to an old friend\, a lost love\, or just put something out into the universe – this evening is dedicated to you! \nBring your paper\, a favorite card you’ve been meaning to send\, and sit down with us and Heidi\, the hand behind Haven Paperie\, who will be here with envelopes and stamps – ensuring the safe delivery of your handwritten words. \nHeidi says this about the lost form of letter writing: \n“In this technology driven world of texting and email and social media\, it is rare to find a thoughtful handwritten letter tucked in between the bills and super saver coupons that fill your mailbox. We’ve lost the art of communicating in written form. Kids won’t stumble upon love letters written between their parents or grandparents hidden away in the attic. Birthday cards have been replaced by Facebook posts and texts. Haven exists to bring excitement back into mailboxes\, to revive the lost art of letter writing\, and to serve as a reminder to be intentional about communicating with those we love.” \nWe couldn’t agree more and we hope you’ll join us for community and fun!
