SECTION I – What WE Do:

  1. Returning Gardeners will be assigned the same plot as last year unless otherwise requested.
  2. New Gardeners will be assigned garden plots on a first-come, first-served basis. Cottage
    Home Neighborhood Association (CHNA) Members will be given first priority.
  3. Multiple plots will be allocated only if available.
  4. CHNA has installed a large water container which collects rain from the shelter roof for use.
    Please remember to turn the spigot off after every use.
  5. CHNA will provide basic 4×12 full raised beds and access to half beds dedicated to herbs for
    neighborhood use.
  6. Cottage Home Neighborhood will cancel this agreement if the Gardener is not able to
    perform the work within the guidelines indicated.

SECTION II – What YOU Do:

  1. Returning Gardeners will be assigned the same plot as last year unless otherwise requested.
    Please note: your plot will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, one plot per applicant.
    Your plot will be made available to other applicants if not paid for by April 15th.
  2. All Gardeners must complete the application form below and submit the $50 per plot fee.
  3. The lessee agrees to use only areas of land designated as their rental plot(s). Any area of land
    not designated as a garden plot may not be available for planting.
  4. The lessee agrees to participate in periodic clean-up activities at the site.
  5. All gardeners will harvest produce from their garden plot only.
  6. All gardeners will remove paper and trash from the area and weed the walkways around
    the rented plot.
  7. All gardeners will supply their own seeds, fertilizer, and tools for proper preparation and
    cultivation of crops.
  8. Ensure garden plots are tidy before the second Saturday in October, in preparation of the CHNA Block Party;
    plant material may be left overwinter for wildlife cover.
  9. The community gardener will keep his/her garden plot cultivated throughout the growing
    season.

SECTION III – Cost:

Garden Bed Rental per growing season: $50.00

You must be a current member. If you are not current member with paid dues, see the membership page to pay your yearly dues.

Section IV – Renter Information:

This form and subsequent payment should ONLY be completed if you have confirmation from the current Greenspace Committee Chair (chnagreenspace@gmail.com) that you have an assigned plot for the current growing season.
