U-Visas for Victims of Crime

April 25, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Jessica Topor, attorney with the Center for Victim and Human Rights, explains the U-Visa for victims of crimes (and their immediate family members) who have suffered mental or physical abuse and are willing to assist law enforcement and government officials in the investigation or prosecution of the criminal activity. This includes domestic violence assaults. Free and open to the public. Light refreshments available. Free child care available.

The Reuben Educational Series is a legacy of Sara I. Reuben, an immigrant from Belarus, and Albert G. Reuben, a first-generation American whose family also came from Eastern Europe. Longtime Indianapolis residents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben were an example of how immigrants truly enrich and give back to the community.
