The Near Eastside has had a rash of auto thefts in the past few weeks, including two in Cottage Home. One of our neighborhood residents happened to catch the thieves on camera….Do you recognize the two men captured in this surveillance video? They stole a car and items out of a work truck parked in the 600 Block of Dorman Street around 3am on Oct. 30th. The van belonged to the victim and items were stolen out of it. The car to the right (Cadillac Wagon) was the vehicle that was stolen. Help us identify these two, so we can end the recent rash of car thefts and break-ins in the neighborhood. I am writing to inform you of the upcoming CHNA Board Meeting that will take place at 1215 E. 9th St.on Monday, November 10th at 6:30. These meetings are open to the public, if you wish to attend. The meeting will start at 6:30 pm with two guest speakers, then proceed on with additional items on the agenda. This meeting will also have prospective 2015 CHNA Board Members in attendance. Pogue’s Run Waterway Committee Meeting Aug. 12th Homie Joe Doll says CoHo is on its way to getting a new sculpture south of the foot bridge on Dorman Street along Pogue’s Run. Accomplished sculptor & fellow Homie Eric Nordgulen has agreed to get his students at Herron School of Art on board with their ideas. Marion County Prosecutor’s Office East District Coordinator Mariann Scott was a guest speaker at the CHNA meeting on Monday and provided us with a crime report for July. She said CoHo’s crime rate is much lower than many other neighborhoods, especially on the east side.
